employment, CV and Interview advice

I am so thrilled to announce a brand-new ministry of the church.  At BFC we are convinced that God is not just concerned with what we might consider the ‘spiritual’ parts of our life; He desires a greater work of redemption.  God’s heart is that we find joy, peace and satisfaction in all the areas of our life whether our employment, families, hobbies, finances etc…  For this reason we run our parenting and marriage courses, our CAP money courses as well as discussing real life issues through Sunday preaching, homegroups and our men’s and women’s discipleship groups.
So with that grander redemption work in mind, it is great to announce a new ministry to encourage those looking for work or those who want to progress further in their careers.  BFC will now be offering free and unbiased employment, interview and CV advice.  This ministry will be led by Karen Brooks (a church member trained and qualified by the Chartered Management Institute) and is designed for anyone who wants help building a great Curriculum Vitae, training in interview technique or advice about application forms.  An Employment Surgery will take place each Wednesday from 1-3pm at the BFC offices (74A High Street) – or appointments at other times can be arranged by ringing the office (01403 786706).
We live in difficult times – a time of economic uncertainty and cuts in service.   Hope is low and expectations are poor.  Therefore if you know that you would benefit from this advice or you know someone else who would; then please make use of it.  God’s desire is that we might enjoy ‘life to the full’ where we derive fulfilment and satisfaction from all parts of our life.  If you know this isn’t the case for your current work situation – this new ministry may be just for you.
