When I read the bible, I am constantly amazed by how gracious, good, just and magnificent God is. It makes me want to know more about Him, what He's done, and what He has promised to do.

If someone reads a passage out during worship on Sunday morning and it is so perfect a response to what I'm feeling or even thinking, it makes me wonder that something written so long ago would be so relevant to me, right now, today.

Sometimes I'll hear a preach where the teacher makes a point about Gods character, something he has done, or His relationship with us and it strikes a chord with me. It resonates and I want to know more.

It is for all these reasons and so many more that I eagerly signed up for WordPlus. It looks at the Old and New Testament, the greatness of God, the work of Christ, the church...  The list goes on! It offers us a chance to gain a better understanding of God's word and will be a good preparation for living our lives as followers of Christ.

The course is run on Saturdays (a whole five per year) over two years. All teaching materials are provided, and best of all - there are already a small group of BFC people going so you won't be alone! It costs £65 per year, but if that is unaffordable, please speak to Ben or Sue in confidence.

There are more details on the course website at
