God Is... Summer 2016 Sermon Series

God-Is-Summer-Series-High

“What comes to mind when you think about God is the most important thing about you” – my literary hero, A W Tozer once said.

So this summer we are going to be hearing from different church members on what comes first to their mind when they think about God.  Our “God is…” summer series is about the character of God – how God has revealed Himself both through Scripture and in the lives of these individuals.  Whilst it will take eternity for us to begin to consider the true richness and depth of God’s character, it’s good for us keep coming back to His nature and how that has blessed us in the past, transformed our present and given us hope for the future.

Each Sunday from 31st July, we have invited two members of the church to share the aspect of God’s character that has particularly impacted their lives.  These talks will be a combination of testimony, Bible truth and also encouragement for us all to remember again how great our God really is.  My prayer is that this remembrance will be a healing for those whose faith struggling, an inspiration to those feeling lost and a challenge to those feeling too comfortable.  Because what comes to mind when we think about God is the most important thing about us – it determines what we think and then what we do - there is no part of our life that is not improved by a deeper, fuller and richer understanding of the character of our God.
